      How does Interakt's 14-day free trial work?

      In our 14-day free trial program, you get access to the entire stack of power-packed features on Interakt for FREE. You get to use all the top-notch features and even if your Facebook business verification is pending, you still get to explore your inbox features with limited messaging options.

      Before you complete the Facebook business verification process, WhatsApp will approve your number to be used for sending messages in a restricted manner.       What are the messaging restrictions during the 14-day free trial period?

      During the 14-day free trial period, while you will have FREE access to all the amazing features on Interakt, there may be certain restrictions on messaging if your Facebook Business Verification is pending.

      These restrictions can be-

      - You can receive an unlimited number of messages from your users but you can only chat with 10 unique users per day during this period.

      - You can send notifications to 2 unique users in a day. Notifications can be sent using WhatsApp templates that are pre-approved by Facebook.

      Please note: You need to complete your Facebook business verification before your trial access expires in 14 days. Your trial access allows you to send messages to a limited set of phone numbers before your business is verified. Once your business verification is complete, you will have access to more functionality on your account.

      How does your WhatsApp Business account work before your Facebook Business Page is verified?

      When you create a WhatsApp business account, you’ll need to verify your Facebook business page. This may require documents such as a certificate of incorporation or a business license.

      Before your business is verified, you can test out the messaging feature by sending free test messages to a limited range of numbers in a trial experience. Once you've uploaded official documents to verify your business, you'll have access to an expanded trial experience with additional messaging options.

      Test Message Types
      When you send test messages in your unverified WhatsApp business account, you can send the following types of messages:

      Notifications: One way messages, such as an appointment reminder or a shipping confirmation. These messages will be limited to WhatsApp-defined templates, only during the unverified state to test the experience.
      Trial experience: 2 separate phone numbers, 10 messages per day
      Expanded trial experience: 2 separate phone numbers, 10 messages per day

      Customer care: A two-way conversation between you and a customer, such as product questions.
      Trial experience: 10 separate phone numbers, no daily message limit.
      Expanded trial experience: 1500 conversations. A conversation is a 24-hour messaging window with a given phone number.

      Please note that this trial experience & expanded trial experience expires in 14 days. Please complete your business verification before your trial access expires in 14 days.

      How can I unlock unlimited messaging on Interakt?

      To be able to make the best use of Interakt, get started with your Facebook Business Verification process right away. As soon as your business gets verified, the messaging restrictions will be lifted and you’ll be able to use Interakt with unlimited access. The best part is that until you’re in the free trial, you don’t need to first pay us to start utilizing unlimited messaging.

      You can start your verification process by submitting the required details for Facebook Verification.

      Once you have submitted all the required details, you will need to wait until your verification is approved, which usually takes anywhere between 3 business days to 4 weeks from Facebook’s end.

      How does Interakt's pricing work?

      There are two components to the Interakt’s pricing structure:

      1. Subscription charges - based on the plan you choose for your business. This is charged by Interakt.

      2. WhatsApp conversation charges - based on the conversations between your business and the user. This is charged by WhatsApp and we extend the same to you.

      Interakt bills you summing up both these components - the subscription charges and your WhatsApp conversation bill on actuals.

      Is there a $ pricing?

      No, all our plans are billed in INR. If you wish to pay in a different currency, you can estimate the approximate cost of our subscriptions based on the conversion rates.

      For reference, Rs 999/month would be $15/month.

      Is Interakt cheaper than any WhatsApp API solution. Is there a catch like a one-time setup fee?

      No, there is no one-time setup fee involved. We have a very simple and transparent pricing structure that is completely aligned with your business growth.

      Tell me more about additional user charges and what is an active monthly contact/user?

      Interakt’s Whatsapp Business pricing is designed to be aligned with your usage of the product. We support unlimited logins enabling all your team members to reach out to your customers using Interakt’s inbox or notifications features.

      Interakt’s usage is calculated based on the number of unique active customers that you contacted in a given month. An active monthly contact is defined as a user with whom you have at least one successfully delivered incoming or outgoing message.

      So, if you exceed the limit of active contacts in one billing cycle which is greater than 2000 for the starter plan and greater than 3500 for the growth plan, the additional charges will be applicable, which is:

      INR 1 per active user, till you reach the limit of 10,000 active contacts in a month.

      INR 0.5 (50 paisa) per active user, once you have crossed 10,000+ active contacts in a month.

      You can have as many chats as you want with an active monthly contact and it will not impact your billing. When you send a notification to your customer via WhatsApp Business APIs, they are chargeable if your customer has not spoken to your WhatsApp number in the last 24 hours. Any message sent after that is free of cost.

      * For Shopify store owners on Interakt, if your billing is managed via Shopify, then the above costs in rupees will be charged to you in USD.

      What does no surcharge on WhatsApp charges mean?

      When you send a notification to your customer via WhatsApp APIs, they are chargeable if your customer has not spoken to your WhatsApp number in the last 24 hours . WhatsApp allows a free form chat window (Customer Care Window) only when the customer initiates a conversation / responds to a notification for a 24 hour period as per the user's last message. Any message sent beyond 24 hours by the business can be a WhatsApp template only and this is chargeable based on the country code of the recipient. We pass these charges on actuals to you.

      But WhatsApp is free. What does WhatsApp conversation charges mean?

      Yes, WhatsApp as a messaging app or a business app is free.

      However, for businesses looking to start communicating to their customers and grow their sales at scale, WhatsApp Business API platform is the best fit. To leverage WhatApp Business platform as a sales channel, there are conversation charges levied by WhatsApp.

      When you send a notification to your customer via WhatsApp Business platform, they are chargeable if your customer has not replied in the last 24 hours. The charges depend on the country code of your customers’ WhatsApp account. We bill these charges on actuals to you without any surcharge.

      How many team members can I add to my Interakt account?

      Interakt supports unlimited team member logins in any pricing plan that we offer. You can add as many team members as you need for your business.

      How are monthly active contacts calculated?

      An active monthly contact is defined as a user with which you have at least one successfully delivered incoming or outgoing message. The count is reset every month.

      If you exceed the limit of active contacts in one billing cycle which is greater than 2000 for the starter plan and greater than 3500 for the growth plan, the additional charges will be applicable, which is:

      How can I get the WhatsApp Business Verified green tick?

      Businesses that have been granted the Official Business Account (OBA) status on WhatsApp, get a green tick besides their business name. This is visible in the display name of your contact number even if your WhatsApp business number is not explicitly saved by your users.

      As Interakt is built on an official WhatsApp Business platform, we can apply for the WhatsApp green tick on your behalf for free, once you have moved to paid subscription with Interakt.

      However, we can not influence WhatsApp's decision with regard to approving your green tick verification. Their decision in this regard would be final. Multiple factors such as brand credibility, your following on social media, listing in external media and your domain ranking can influence your green tick approval.

      To request for a green tick verification, you can simply connect with our support team and send in a request. It normally takes about 3 business days to get the approval. Once your request for the green tick is approved, your number will automatically be displayed as your business name, to your users along with the green tick. This will show that your business is verified.

      If your application for the green tick is rejected, it does not impact your ability to use Interakt or WhatsApp business API.

      Can I use my existing WhatsApp number with Interakt?

      Yes, you can use an existing WhatsApp number with Interakt. However, you will need to first delete the account linked to that, prior to onboarding with Interakt.

      Once we connect the number with Interakt, the number is officially marked as a WhatsApp Business API number. Another thing to keep in mind is that if this number is already being used with the WhatsApp Business API then it cannot be migrated to Interakt. You will then have to provide a different phone number. You can provide any number that can receive an OTP - this could be a virtual number or a regular SIM number. Once migrated to WhatsApp Business API and linked to Interakt, the number can be accessed on Interakt only.

      If it is a virtual number that is tied to Interakt, then normal voice calls can be made as usual, but WhatsApp voice and video calls cannot be supported via WhatsApp Business API.

      What number can I use on Interakt?

      When it comes to selecting a number to be used for Interakt, you can use any valid number that can receive an OTP via SMS or a voice call. This could be a virtual number or a regular SIM number.
